‘Senioritis And Its Effects On Your Body’

Senioritis is a major health problem that affects 1 in every 3 teenagers of Pakistan and 31 million in the world.

What is senioritis?

Merriam-Webster defines it as an ebbing of motivation and effort by school seniors as evidenced by tardiness, absences, and lower grades.
Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
Well, we have made it to August-almost. That means a new session but an old season of school, ‘the senioritis season’.
Now, how do you know if your senior year has brought its curse upon you? For that, let us break down its symptoms with a simple diagnostic test for you.
Diagnosis/Symptoms
Do you find yourself staring out the window more often, in class?
Has your homework become optional for you?
Do you react like this when you get bad grades?
Are you always tired?
If you answered yes to at least three of the above questions, you have been diagnosed with senioritis. Sorry.
Prevention/Treatment
Senioritis is unavoidable, so it’s important to know how to push through it.Now don’t worry, you are not alone in this. There is certainly something that can be done to subdue the effects of senioritis.
1.Set small goals
Start your senior year by setting small achievable goals so that every time you hit the goal, you get a boost of self-assurance and self-actualization for future.
2.Give yourself a pep-talk
Treat yourself every time you beat yourself in your own game of procrastination. It is a great way to relieve stress, and strengthen your mind.
3. Remind yourself
If you don’t graduate this year, your senioritis will take a toll on you for another year- and who wants that?
